Outsource is looking for a Controller for a great direct hire opportunity in San Fernando, CA. Our client is a well respected Electrical Contractor. They are looking to grow their team with a strong financial professional who has a background in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all accounting operational functions
• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Coordinate and prepare financial statements
• Oversee all office operations
• Partner with management and the operations teams with information vital to the decision-making process
• Manage the budget process
• Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes and procedures
• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems
• Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and make recommendations
• Develop and monitoring business performance metrics
• Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience as a controller for a construction company.
• Strong experience with overseeing, implementing and managing all financial operations for a medium sized company
• Must have experience in the construction industry
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Strong operational background including office oversight, hiring, training, etc.
• Excellent computer skills
• Software implementation experience
• Experience with Foundation a plus

Salary

$105-120K DOE
