Denver expands job opportunities for Electricians and Low Voltage trades

Denver’s expansion in recent years has provided great job opportunities for skilled workers in trades like electrical, structured cabling, security and fire alarm, A/V, and HVAC Controls. Recently Outsource has a lot of growth in the Low Voltage job market and we’re expecting an expanding market in Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs with the help of the Outsource Training Program.

Training Skilled Trades

Heading into 2022, the skilled labor shortage is the biggest obstacle to projects completing on time and on budget, so the Outsource Training program was implemented to build a larger skilled labor force to fill open Cabling jobs, Security and Fire Alarm jobs, A/V jobs, or HVAC Controls jobs all around Colorado. Most of the companies looking for skilled labor help are now opening their doors to entry-level candidates due to the shortage.

Job Growth for Electrical and Low Voltage Industry

New construction and tenant improvements are the main forces of job growth for the Electrical and Low Voltage trades. Investments within Education, Healthcare, Real Estate, and Infrastructure are funding notable projects such as the Rocky Mountain Hyperloop, Commuter Rail, and Tunnels throughout Colorado. These projects allow for continued job growth for Electricians and Low Voltage technicians along the Front Range.

Outsource’s Denver branch was started in 2009 by Sam Jarvis who initially served as both a recruiter and account manager. Since then, Denver has grown to eight employees who generate $4 million in annual revenue. The Denver office has adopted a skiing/snowboarding term as its office motto: “Go Sick.” It means, “Push yourself to be the best,” no matter what you do. A friendly, competitive spirit defines life in the Denver office. Account Manager Nick Lovell says, “We collaborate, while at the same time, drive each other to be the best we can be. We are constantly trying to reinvent new ways to recruit.”

Client relations are extremely important to Outsource, where we strive to treat all of our clients the way we would treat our own friends and family. The Denver branch is no different, where the sales team prides itself on relationships that are built on integrity, honesty, and fairness.

One of the unique advantages that this office enjoys is the proximity to client data centers as well as other state of the art facilities. Team members will tour the sites as a way to strengthen relationships and stay on top of our clients’ needs. Another great thing about Denver is the access to great outdoor activities, which we also take advantage of in order to build relationships with out clients. This means skiing at world-class resorts like Vail, Loveland, and Beaver Creek games, as well as access to plenty of golf courses. If you love professional sports, Denver is home to Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies, the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche, and the National Football League’s Denver Broncos.

The Denver branch loves to celebrate special occasions, and birthdays often include office favorites like Chic-Fil-A and Jamba Juice. They celebrated Christmas at Ace’s Eat Serve Drink, a local spot with great food and a bevy of ping-pong tables, which ignited their competitive spirits and resulted in some epic matches. Denver also participated in the Outsource Potluck Thanksgiving Lunch, a newly established tradition where the company encourages all the offices to take time and celebrate the holiday together. Our Denver branch is also active in the community, participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as well as raising money for charities like Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

At the end of the week, the Denver office likes to wind down at happy hour or over dinner at many of the nearby restaurants. A few of the favorites include The Kitchen Next Door, JAX Fish House, Cherry Cricket, and Margs Taco Bistro. The Denver office is currently staffed with three Recruiters, an Account Manager, a Territory Manager, a Field Coordinator, an Inside Sales Manager and an Inside Sales Representative. And they are still growing. Prospective team members will find a lot of opportunity in the Denver Office, which recently moved to a high rise building in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood.
