Outsource is pleased to announce the opening of our Austin office, the company’s 17th location nationwide and our 4th in Texas.
The office is led by native Texan and Regional Leader Blaine Monteau, who has been with Outsource for nearly 10 years and currently manages P&L for the Houston and San Antonio locations. The new location will be approximately 1000 sq. feet, with half of the space dedicated to training new technicians. We are currently looking to hire a Recruiter to focus exclusively on the Austin market.
Growth Opportunity in Austin
Outsource moved into Austin to take advantage of the city’s booming economy, rapid expansion, and the opportunity that the skilled labor gap provides. The city is home to some of the world’s biggest tech companies, including Tesla, Facebook, Samsung, Oracle, and Dell.
Skilled Cabling and Electrical Technicians
The new Austin location has the ability to recruit and train low voltage cabling and electrical technicians in order to create a viable talent pool of skilled talent to meet the high demands of a rapidly growing Austin market. Outsource specializes in training people looking to transition into a skilled trade and we offer the OSHA 10 course that covers job safety, health, as well as job site etiquette. Training is not only free, but we actually pay you for the time upon successful completion of the course. Trainees will also leave with a complete set of tools, including a tool pouch, a punch down tool, a multibit screwdriver, snips, sharpie, electrical tape, and PPE (hard hat, safety gloves, safety glasses, and safety vest).
Ready To Deliver Talent
Austin will provide the same level of service and talent that our clients have come to expect from Outsource. We offer same day account set up, our work is guaranteed on every placement, and we deliver on demand as early as the next day.

Operating in Seattle for the last 10 years, Outsource has seen growth in the Electrical and Low Voltage job markets. Especially with Low Voltage trades like Structured Cabling, Security and Fire Alarm, Access Control, and HVAC Controls. Job seekers in the Electrical and Low Voltage skilled trades must have the appropriate licensing (for example EL01 and EL06 licenses) to work throughout Washington state.
Ripe for Growth
Going into 2022, Seattle is ripe for growth in job opportunities with the help of investments in new construction and tenant improvement work. These opportunities are driven by projects on healthcare facilities, strip-mall store fronts, public storage facilities, and casinos. A large concentration of jobs will be in the Seattle metro area, followed by Tacoma as well as surrounding suburb cities including Boise, ID and Spokane, WA.

When businesses need someone to help out for a short-term project or if they require a worker with specialized skills, they turn to contract workers to fill the void.
When businesses need someone to help out for a short-term
project or if they require a worker with specialized skills, they turn to
contract workers to fill the void. This decision makes a lot of sense since it
solves a problem quickly and saves their company money in the long run.
More and more companies are using these workers in place
of hiring permanent full-time employees, and it shows in the growth of these
independent contractors throughout the country. While exact figures may not be
available, estimates are claiming that these contract workers now make up
between thirty and forty percent of the workforce.
Unfortunately, many employers are treating these workers
differently than their permanent employees, and it doesn’t create a
collaborative environment that results in optimal productivity.
Here are a few suggestions for making your contract workers feel as though they are a respected part of your team.
Treat Them Like One of Your Own
Your contract workers have the same goals in mind as your
regular workers: to help you complete a project or provide skill for the
organization. With that in mind, why wouldn’t you give them the same status as
everyone else on the team?
Give them access to your company’s resources and invite
them to corporate events. Include them in meetings and lunches. The more you
make them feel welcome and important, the better they will perform while they
are with you.
Help Them to Develop Their Skills
Just like your own talented workers, contact workers
appreciate the opportunity to learn new skills. Give them the same advice and
suggestions for enhancing their skills as you give your full-time staff.
Provide information to them on any online education that’s available or
required for the rest of the workers.
One other option: You could pay for the contract worker
to attend a workshop and then share the insights with everyone at a future team
meeting.
Show Your Appreciation
Everyone—even your temporary workers—needs
positive feedback from their employer. It makes them feel valued and inspires
them to do their best work for you. You can show appreciation in several ways:
Trust them with
responsibility
Include them
in company events
Ask them for
their opinion
Pull them
aside and tell them you appreciate their efforts
Let them know
how their work is helping the company reach its objectives
Whatever you can do to promote a sense of belonging in
your contract workers will help to create a strong and collaborative team.
Everyone wants to feel as if they are part of your family, including those who
will be leaving eventually.
