The Houston branch is one of Outsource’s longest-tenured offices and 2014 proved to be an outstanding year. The sales and recruiting team doubled in size, from four to eight team members, and the office is on track to open 50 new accounts for the year, generating $1.2 million in New Sales Revenue. The branch rolled out a new training program for entry-level cable technicians and built relationships with the top five low voltage integrators in Houston, which should generate even more revenue for the company in 2015.

The Houston branch is fun, hard working, and prides itself on its competitive spirit as well as a culture that thrives on innovative and creative mindsets. At Outsource, teamwork is ingrained in our culture and team members at the Houston branch consider the office to be an extension of his or her home. Developing a tight-knit working “family” is one of the contributing factors to the success of our Houston office.

Houston represents what you’ll find in every Outsource office: a group of people who genuinely care about each other. It’s important that individuals strive for success, but without losing sight of collective goals. Team members in Houston spend time together after work and on the weekends, they pet-sit for one another, they throw fun office parties, and they make it a point to celebrate everyone’s birthday in every department.

The branch’s Regional Fulfillment Manager, Jessica Brown, says, “One thing I love about our office is that we work as a team, we look at each single job, take a step back, and consider who has the best tech for a particular job. We’re not arguing amongst ourselves about who should go out. We all have a good understanding that if we put the right people on the right jobs the money will come for everyone.”

New opportunities are always available. For more information, please call toll free 877-905-9659. Outsource is located at 7155 Old Katy Road, Suite N250, Houston, Texas, 77024.

Outsource’s Success in Atlanta

The Atlanta Branch of Outsource celebrated its two-year anniversary in December of 2014, with many new and exciting changes on the horizon.

The Atlanta Branch of Outsource celebrated its two-year anniversary in December of 2014, with many new and exciting changes on the horizon.

During the summer months, out of the 19 Outsource offices, Atlanta has consistently ranked as one of the top three branches in terms of revenue generated per head. The team shows no signs of slowing down. In the next few months, Outsource will be moving to a new office, where our employees will be able to utilize 2,500 square feet of space; more than twice the size of the current location.

The Atlanta office celebrated its two-year anniversary at The Painted Pin, one of the city’s most unique entertainment venues, which includes an upscale boutique bar and twenty full-service, luxury bowling lanes. The night also included indoor bocce ball, table shuffleboard, ping-pong, skee-ball, darts, and oversized basketball pop-a-shots.

The personnel in Atlanta are a diverse group of people, including many who are transplants from across the country. Each team member brings a unique perspective and set of experiences, which have contributed to the success of the Atlanta branch. In addition to the friendly competition, the team frequently enjoys taking lunches away from the office to discuss strategy and share insights that will help the branch succeed as a whole. A few favorite spots include nearby restaurants like Tin Lizzy’s, Sushi Kiku, and Roasters, which are all within walking distance.

With the rapid growth over the last two years and our expansion into a larger location, the Atlanta office is actively pursuing new talent for both recruiting and sales positions.

Outdoor Activities and Healthy Competition Define Outsource’s Denver Office

Outsource’s Denver branch was started in 2009 by Sam Jarvis who initially served as both a recruiter and account manager. Since then, Denver has grown to eight employees who generate $4 million in annual revenue. The Denver office has adopted a skiing/snowboarding term as its office motto: “Go Sick.” It means, “Push yourself to be the best,” no matter what you do. A friendly, competitive spirit defines life in the Denver office. Account Manager Nick Lovell says, “We collaborate, while at the same time, drive each other to be the best we can be. We are constantly trying to reinvent new ways to recruit.”

Client relations are extremely important to Outsource, where we strive to treat all of our clients the way we would treat our own friends and family. The Denver branch is no different, where the sales team prides itself on relationships that are built on integrity, honesty, and fairness.

One of the unique advantages that this office enjoys is the proximity to client data centers as well as other state of the art facilities. Team members will tour the sites as a way to strengthen relationships and stay on top of our clients’ needs. Another great thing about Denver is the access to great outdoor activities, which we also take advantage of in order to build relationships with out clients. This means skiing at world-class resorts like Vail, Loveland, and Beaver Creek games, as well as access to plenty of golf courses. If you love professional sports, Denver is home to Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies, the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche, and the National Football League’s Denver Broncos.

The Denver branch loves to celebrate special occasions, and birthdays often include office favorites like Chic-Fil-A and Jamba Juice. They celebrated Christmas at Ace’s Eat Serve Drink, a local spot with great food and a bevy of ping-pong tables, which ignited their competitive spirits and resulted in some epic matches. Denver also participated in the Outsource Potluck Thanksgiving Lunch, a newly established tradition where the company encourages all the offices to take time and celebrate the holiday together. Our Denver branch is also active in the community, participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as well as raising money for charities like Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

At the end of the week, the Denver office likes to wind down at happy hour or over dinner at many of the nearby restaurants. A few of the favorites include The Kitchen Next Door, JAX Fish House, Cherry Cricket, and Margs Taco Bistro. The Denver office is currently staffed with three Recruiters, an Account Manager, a Territory Manager, a Field Coordinator, an Inside Sales Manager and an Inside Sales Representative. And they are still growing. Prospective team members will find a lot of opportunity in the Denver Office, which recently moved to a high rise building in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood.

Outsource Denver is located at 3773 Cherry Creek North Drive, Suite #717, Denver Colorado, 80209. Call us toll free at 877-905-9659.

In 2006 a single sales person opened the Dallas branch of Outsource. It has since grown to an office that employs 16 team members, recently relocating in June 2014 to Uptown Dallas close to many of the major attractions the city has to offer. It is from this new location that the team provides excellent service to its clients by dedicating an account manager and a recruiter to each of the three divisions it operates: cabling, electrical, and integration. There is a Branch Operations Manager, a Territory Sales Manager, and Dallas is the only Outsource office in the country with space dedicated to field employee training.

It’s no wonder that Outsource has been able to thrive in one of the country’s most competitive markets. The office has grown tremendously as of late, with ambitions and designs to become a new corporate hub for the entire company. Recruiter Kyle Thomas says, “Even the past year the office has double or tripled in size. We keep growing and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down.”

Teamwork is a major reason why Outsource has grown to 19 branches nationwide and the Dallas office is a prime example of this synergy. Branch Operations Manager Jennifer Warriach says, “We value collaboration and truly believe that none of us would be where we are without the people we work next to everyday. We want people to find success in their roles and management is dedicated to helping everyone do exactly this.”

But Dallas is about more that just hard work. With the office situated within walking distance to some of the city’s best bars and restaurants, team members frequently step out of the office for group lunches and to celebrate after work at happy hour. There is also a vibrant art scene in town and the city is famous for its many professional sports teams, like the Dallas Mavericks (NBA), Dallas Cowboys (NFL), Dallas Stars (NHL), FC Dallas (MLS), and the Texas Rangers (MLB).

During the holidays, the Outsource branches all make a special effort to celebrate with a potluck lunch where everyone contributes a dish and the entire office sits down together to eat. For birthdays, Outsource always try to make our team members feel special with cake, cookies, or favorite baked goods. Dallas will also surprise its employees by gathering the whole group together to sing happy birthday.

At Outsource Dallas, you’ll find team members in both the front and back office working together to successfully grow the company. Currently, the office holds four Recruiters, three Account Managers, an Inside Sales Representative, a Helpdesk Supervisor and Specialist, three Collections Specialists, an Operations Analyst, a Branch Operations Manager, a Territory Sales Manager, and a Regional Director of Operations. There’s room for expansion and new team members will find a rapidly growing office with an abundance of opportunity. And most importantly, new hires have a chance to become members of a team and a company of which they can be proud.

Outsource Dallas is located at 3400 Carlisle Street, Suite #345, Dallas, TX, 75204. Call us toll free at 877-905-9659.

photo 5At Outsource, we consider each of our employees to be members of a competitive team and we want to reward out top performers. In addition to the generous perks program we offer at Outsource, we also host an annual rewards trip to Cancun, Mexico for employees who have achieved outstanding results for the company. The entire sales team looks forward to the trip, which everyone agrees is the highpoint of the year.

“I have been on the Cancun trip for the past two years and hope to go again this year. To me, this trip serves as a great motivator and it gives everyone something exciting to strive for. It also allows all of the offices around the country a chance to bond and get to know each other in a more relaxed environment.”   – Tracey Burchfield, Senior Recruiter

“The trip helps build a sense of team. Surrounding yourself with the top performers of the entire company enables you to learn about other people, their techniques, best practices, and the chance to share stories that may even help you in your home market. Although it is definitely a “carefree” rewards trip, this is an Outsource event, which means that everyone attending genuinely loves talking about work and what we do each day. No, seriously, we do.”  – Jessica Ruiz, Territory Manager

If you are an employee at Outsource, you were hired in part for your competitive spirit and your desire to succeed. The Cancun trip serves as an excellent opportunity to meet Outsource team members from all over the country, which strengthens the connection between our different offices.

“The trip is such a great time to develop relationships with co-workers. Not only does it allow you to interact on a more personal level with the people you physically work with each day, but it also allows you to mix with team members from across the country who clearly share the same drive and values.”   – Holly Andrews, Account Manager

At the same time, we do our best to foster a sense of family in this competitive, business environment. You’ll quickly see how accessible people are at Outsource, how excited everyone is to discuss the direction of the company, and how to succeed on another level.

“The trip definitely helps us out professionally. There are no barriers in building relations or restrictions as far as with whom you are able to talk. Whether it’s a Recruiter, Account Manager, or a member of the Executive Team, you are encouraged to interact with everybody and to review how business has been and where it is going.”   – Cameron Crivello, Regional Fulfillment Manager

“It definitely builds a sense of team and allows us to get to know our co-workers in a relaxed setting. The people who go on the trip are the ones that are fully dedicated to the company. It’s great getting to know other leaders that we frequently hear about and see doing well on the sales report.”   – Jorden Noack, Account Manager

We recognize not only how hard the people of Outsource work, but also the contributions made by their significant others. Husbands, wives, family, boyfriends, and girlfriends play a big part in supporting our employees’ efforts, which is why Outsource encourages our attendees to bring a guest to accompany them on the trip.

“The best part of the trip is being in a relaxed capacity with the people that work so hard to drive this organization. Everyone is relaxed and you get to mingle not only with Outsource employees, but their significant others, whose support serves as a driving force behind the success of this company. I know my husband sincerely appreciates being able to take part in such a fantastic reward. Every year when we make it home, he can’t stop talking about how awesome it was to meet the people that keep me so happy at work.”   – Holly Andrews, Account Manager

We cover all expenses, including travel, VIP treatment, and hotel luxuries like a spa and wellness center, tennis courts, beach butlers, fine dining options, and fantastic pools. The trip also includes unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks at the property’s lounges and swim-up bars. Those who have travelled with us to Cancun find that it’s a great way to relax, recharge, and celebrate personal accomplishments.

“We all work very hard, competing with other individuals in the company to put up strong numbers. We do it for personal growth and for the opportunity to sit poolside, enjoying endless food and drinks. The trip is relaxed, comfortable, fun, and it gets you excited about doing even better the following year. It’s a treat to be surrounded by so many others Outsource team members from all over the country who share the same passion and drive as you. It just a great feeling to know that you belong with this company for the long run.” – Jessica Ruiz, Territory Manager

The Cancun trip is more that just a chance to relax and celebrate a successful year. It’s an excellent opportunity to network and strengthen the connections between our 19 offices. When our people get to know each other on a personal level, share what they’ve learned throughout the year, and hear about the success others are having, they feel more connected to the company. We believe that when employees feel connected to their company, the company transforms into the best possible company it can be. This is what we strive for every day at Outsource: to be the best.

images-1In August 2014, Outsource initiated the Fitbit Corporate Wellness Program as a way to power and inspire team members to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle and to create a culture of well-being, improve participant health status, and increase team productivity. Participants are able set their own goals and monitor their progress on Fitbit’s digital dashboard where you can record workouts and analyze your trends with easy-to-read charts and graphs. With Fitbit, you can estimate calories and log food with a barcode scanner, which makes it easy to keep track of how much you’re eating. (Yes, we’re looking at you, Holidays.)

Controller Ellen Sue Chang became the first Outsource team member to reach the 1,000,000-step milestone. She set a personal goal of 10,000 steps/day and was able to accomplish her million-step feat in only three months. When asked how she was able to do it, she said, “I made it a point to do more outdoor activities. Living in Pasadena made it easier because it has a very walkable downtown area. It also helps that I have two very large dogs, who keep me active!”

One of her favorite aspects of the Fitbit Corporate Wellness Program is the ability to invite friends and family to share stats, send cheers (and taunts!), and track the competition on the leaderboard. She and other Outsource team members would compete in side challenges they called “Workweek Hustles.” Ellen Sue says, “It’s fun to bring people together, compete with one another, tease each other about who’s winning, and establish bragging rights for the week.”

Participating employees buy the Fitbit and Outsource immediately reimburses them for 50% of the cost. Once they hit the one million-step milestone, Outsource will reimburse them the remaining 50% of the Fitbit.

Based in San Francisco, Fitbit designs products and experiences that track everyday health and fitness, empowering and inspiring people to lead healthier lives. As the leader in the fast-growing Connected Health & Fitness category, Fitbit’s diverse line of award-winning products includes the Fitbit Flex wristband, Fitbit Zip, and Fitbit One activity trackers, as well as the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale. Corp-Thanksgiving
Outsource kicked off a new tradition by inviting offices across the United States to participate in a potluck lunch in celebration of Thanksgiving. To commemorate the event, we asked that each team submit photographs of their lunch and to let us know how it went. Offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Denver, Houston, San Francisco, New York City, Phoenix, Seattle, and Austin all pulled together and it sounds like everyone had a blast (including a technician candidate in San Francisco who timed his interview just right).

Here are a few highlights (some are hilarious). It speaks volumes about a company whose team members take the time to come together all across the country, celebrate at work, and offer up their experiences for everyone to share.

Houston-ThanksgivingHouston

In Houston we had a wonderful time. Everyone really put an effort in and we had what felt like a real Thanksgiving lunch. It was traditional food such as stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potations, green bean casserole, a variety of pies, cornbread and rolls, and macaroni and cheese. Every person put thought into what we were bringing and made it a great time. We even listened to Christmas music, joked around and spoke about what we were thankful for.

San Francisco ThanksgivingSan Francisco

Our potluck was delicious! Everyone pitched in and brought some great food. We have turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, creamed corn, cranberry and cornbread. For dessert we had pies and ice cream. We all hung out in our conference room and enjoyed having lunch as a team.

We even had a technician here for an interview that joined in briefly. He was pretty impressed with the process as a whole and got a kick out of the fact that we offered him lunch. It was awesome spending time with everyone and enjoying good food and good company.

Dallas ThanksgivingDallas

We had our potluck last Friday with great results. Almost everyone pitched in, resulting in too much food and some tryptophan induced sleepiness in the afternoon (but we fought through, and our productivity was not diminished!). Some highlights were homemade corn pudding by Caroline Robinson and too many delicious desserts to begin to count. In true Texas spirit, we even had chips & salsa.

We’re thankful for having a great company, a great office, a great team, and maybe most importantly a great deal of coffee in our cupboards.

New York ThanksgivingNew York

Here is the tale of a New York Thanksgiving:
We laughed, we cried (joyfully), and came together as a work family. Brett ruined a great pair of gloves carrying the food, but actually one might say he enhanced them with the smell of turkey.

We completed our meal and Joe bravely carried the extra tray of turkey home feeding one very lucky homeless man with it…and himself, too.

Denver ThanksgivingDenver

With smiles on their faces, and bundles of joyful Thanksgiving side dishes held tenderly in their arms, you could tell that the day was going to be special right from the beginning. The smell of a delicious Thanksgiving meal permeated the office as the day moved along and eager mouths began to salivate. Dishes were heated up and as we set the tablecloth and plastic dishware on the table, I felt like I really was with family, but not just any family: my Outsource family.

Mark 11/28/2014 on your calendars as the day a new tradition was born!

2014 ISC East Trade Show teamISC East is the premiere security trade show in the Northeast United States and Outsource continued to be a major presence at the event, which was held November 19 – 20, 2014 at the Javits Center in New York City. ISC East draws thousands of regional attendees including dealers, installers, IT and physical security systems integrators, consultants and specifiers, and end users of physical security.

ISC East is a great venue for Outsource to showcase why it is the country’s leading national wired systems staffing firm. In fact, 60% of ISC East attendees do not attend another Security Event, which makes it particularly important in terms of establishing relationships with area businesses. Outsource jumped on the opportunity and generated over 300 leads to connect with business representing over $12 billion dollars in total Buying Power.

The Outsource team spent the two-day event introducing the company to potential customers and explaining how Outsource is able to improve their bottom line by supplying alarm, CCTV, and access control technicians to systems integrators in the tri-state area, and beyond. Ashley Porges, a New York City-based Inside Sales Representative for the company added, “The idea of a company specializing in wired systems staffing is still kind of new to this part of the country.” According to Account Manager Jory Rubenstein, it seems to be quickly catching on: “The people we’re speaking to are responding well to our specialized service and they quickly realize that it makes good business sense.”

Summing up the experience, Business Development Manager Jake Durkee said, “ISC East is a great opportunity for us. We’ve been able to meet with a lot of people and let them know we are here to fulfill the needs of this market.” When asked about the 300 leads they were able to generate, Casey Merriman, who is the Territory Sales Manager out of the New York City office says, “It’s fantastic. We’re going to be busy!”

Some highlights of the event a Grand Opening Ceremony, a Crack the Tap Cocktail Reception, an onsite NASCAR Racing Experience, Autographing by NASCAR greats Randy and Corey LaJoie, SIA Honors Night, a Central Station Tour, and a NJESA Northern Membership. With over 200 exhibits to see, Outsource appreciates all of our clients that stopped by to say hello, and those new faces that we met for the first time.
The International Security Conference and Expo (ISC) trade shows–ISC East and ISC West—are sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), which is based in Silver Springs, Maryland. Founded in 1969, SIA is an American trade association representing electronic and physical security solutions providers.

IMG_8499Outsource prides itself on our company culture and we’re always looking for occasions to recognize the efforts of our employees and technicians. Ideally, having a great time while doing so. An example of this is the picnic our Dallas office hosted in appreciation of the company’s hard-working techs and their families. The event was held Saturday, November 8th at the Flag Pole Hill Park, overlooking White Rock Lake. The beautiful weather and scenery were perfectly complemented by excellent barbecue provided by Mike Anderson’s Barbecue, a local favorite.

Everyone who attended was able to spend a casual day playing games of horseshoe and beanbag toss while kids played football and soccer. The picnic and lake setting proved to be a great place for the Dallas Team to spend time with the techs. Recapping the event, Kyle Thomas, one of the Dallas Recruiters said, “Everyone had a lot of fun and it’s great to have the opportunity to show our appreciation for the techs, get to know them, their families, and to have them get to know Outsource.”

The picnic also proved to be a great opportunity in terms of business development. Jennifer Warriach, who serves as the Branch Operations Manager, noticed a new face in the crowd. Jennifer says, “A licensed journeyman from one of our competitors showed up after being invited by an Outsource tech. It was a big win for us.”

Outsource was also represented by Office Administrator Dora Moore, Collections Manager/Safety Coordinator Chris Trevino, Account Manager Trace Baker, Territory Sales Manager Brian McShane, Sourcer Joey Mitnick, as well as Recruiters Johnny Barnard, Jessica Sylvia, and Jasmine Christopher. Thanks again to our industrious technicians, their families, and everyone who came out for barbecue and fun. We look forward to doing it again in the spring!

1Outsource continues to grow its structured cabling, electrical, and building integration staffing business in Texas with the recent expansion of its San Antonio office, further solidifying the company’s national reputation as a leader in the industry. The company remains committed to growing its footprint in Texas and the San Antonio office is key to achieving this goal.

Initially supported by the Austin office, the idea to expand the San Antonio office was reached after careful consideration off both internal research and insights presented by Outsource employees working in the area. The city, with a population of four million, is experiencing tremendous growth and is home to a number of new data centers. Shannon Paule, Branch Operations Manager for the Austin office says, “Texas is an attractive place for new technology, so energy level is high and we’re ready to hit the ground running.”

Over the past several months, Business Development Manager Hunter Schmidt has traveled from Austin to San Antonio on a weekly basis building relationships with new and potential clients. He and Robert Lozada have established a foothold in the city and their hard work has resulted in the need for a larger office space.

Lozada will head up the San Antonio office after serving only eight months as a Recruiter. Robert expressed an interest in moving into sales, and after completing a training session at the Corporate Office in Los Angeles he was promoted to Account Manager where he will be responsible for managing clients and their needs at a high level. Robert is a great example of why Outsource is a company dedicated to promoting from within.

The company is also excited to announce that it will be expanding the branch by hiring a local recruiting team in San Antonio. The new hires will join a strong team that covers the needs of companies in the wiring and structured cable industries, electrical, fire alarm, and security industries, as well as the building integration and HVAC industries. They will exhibit the qualities for which Outsource employees are known: motivated professionals who go above and beyond their clients’ and technicians’ expectations.

Jenny Zhao, Regional Director of Operations and a San Antonio native, attests to the city’s recent boom: “San Antonio consistently ranks as one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States and Texas has been growing tremendously for Outsource. Now that we have the right people in the right place, San Antonio is the next key market to dig our heels in and grow the company.”

The San Antonio office is located at 9901 I.H. 10 West, Suite #8030.
